Back to normal
After a turbulent two days we picked up the thread again. Yesterday afternoon the fans went off again. It took a while for the waves to settle down, the storm was over.
No more monkey bars, no more distance calculation to the next grab and the food simply stays on your plate until you decide to take it off. Delicious.
But the ocean always exaggerates a bit, so during the night the sails were flapping again. And so today we bounce around by occasionally turning on the engine and then continuing to sail. And so we have the opportunity for a shave and hair wash, we mop the salt from the ship and vacuum the floor clean. Supplies are replenished and the cupboards are organised. What a mess it can become in two days. We have time for a casserole and even the flapping of the sails can dampen our good mood. Just because of the end of the storm? No, this morning the email arrived on my laptop with permission from my director to stay away for another three weeks so that I can complete the trip. Great news and a nice gesture from school! Peace has returned to our minds. I will miss my love and children for another three weeks, but we can now start planning the grand finale. St Helena, Cabo Verde, Azores, home.
Regards,
Ton and Mark
