Daily report #70

Readers,

On the road again. With the flame in the pipe. En route.
First we dredged our way out of the harbor of Cape Town through all the plastic junk. And that far beyond Robben Island. There was still quite a swell. The wind was virtually absent. Until about eight o'clock in the evening we mainly sailed on the engine. Then sailed for about 6 hours. Then motored again for a few hours and now we sail at a pace of 5-6 knots towards St. Helena. It's a cracker though. The great Genoa goes on a terrible rampage. Actually just too little wind that is also killed by the current. And then the movements that the ship makes add up to the fact that the Genoa regularly depressurizes and is quickly filled again at the next stroke. Anxious! Clappingclap. To drive you crazy because the whole ship is shaking and some of those blows are really hard. Another wind tomorrow. Perhaps a little better.
Furthermore, we have been put back into the waiting routine. 6 on 6 off. Now from 07h00 -13h00 etc. We both made another hot meal and we have had the first night again. He was bitterly cold. But we are slowly shifting upwards to warmer climes. Where we're probably going to curse the heat.
Never a bored moment.

Greetings Ton and Mark
