Daily report #65

Co-deliverers,

We will arrive at 17h00 today (Saturday). Cape Town. The hurdle that has frightened us for a long time has been taken. Special thanks to John. What a gorgeous guy.
He followed us all the time and provided us with information.
We anchored yesterday at 2:30 pm. It was hard to get anchored but so was getting loose again. It was bend or burst. We had the chain straight up and down, the winch can't pull anymore so we put the stopper on and ran the boat full throttle into the chain. Eventually he got loose and appeared to surface undamaged. When we passed the cape of Agulhas we wiped away a tear. Finally crossed that unpredictable Indian Ocean.
The further journey to where we are now was one of little wind and many engines. But that's nothing!
The holy grail has been reached. From now on it's to the North, on the way home. About the Atlantic.
Ice and weather serving we can make up for time on the next long stretches.
Now first Cape Town.

Greetings Mark and Ton
