Daily Report #6

The Bolg

Left Mackay yesterday after a second visit to see Michel off on his way to the Netherlands. Mark and the undersigned have now been on the road for 24 hours and have traveled 135 M as the crow flies. An excellent result. We are currently passing Townsend.

Another 200 miles to Cairns. We're not going to stop there, we're on our way to Darwin.

It's been nice weather here since Goldcoast with a strong breeze from the SE and. If you're not careful you'll burn alive.

We sail with the Genoa reaching and nothing else. Only back to Mackay we were able to put the whole rig to wind.

It is a fine sailing ship. We are starting to pick up the routine with the two of us and have solved all the problems as they came up. It's going smoothly!
