Daily Report #52

Dear malefollowers and femalefollowers.

That doesn't make any sense, I know, but it shows that I also have female readers in mind when writing.
Logically you would say that a man has been away from home for some time and deprived of that which makes us men so whole and complete sometimes thinks of his wife. (Hi San)
And that's right.
We float. Logically you would say.. By that I mean without propulsion. We turned off the engine. And the wind is practically gone. We did set up the jib and pulled it tight. To stay on course a bit because the wind is coming from; pub quiz question A. From the front. B. From one of the sides, C. somewhere in between or D. From the back. Yes, right. An obvious joke jumps into my head and I also know that it is also the case with Reinoud (Hi Rein) and some of his descendants. Nice guys!
Other pub quiz question; where, according to Mark and Ton, did the wind constantly come from during their great journey?
And as a result today we got the exhaust fumes blown into the cockpit all the time. That does not help us. We should do something about that, all those exhaust fumes..
So we finally turned off the engine. Fortunately, it is an old engine, so little particulate matter, but fortunately we have that again in the cabin when cooking on LPG. I think I learned something.
All the bad consequences of living on a boat aside, what a FANTASTIC evening. The sun has been down since six o'clock. The moon is there in full size, casting its werewolf-like glow on the still water. Beautiful! Mark has also praised the clouds, the rain and the full rainbows. Beauty can always be admired. We only miss the breathing of the marine mammals. Sadly absent. But the evening is not over yet. Tomorrow we will have a southerly wind. Can we go straight to the coast? Not too much, not too little wind. How nice it would be.

A demain.
