Daily report #115

In the guest room.
Good news! The wind will pick up at 9pm tonight! We are happy about that. Finally sailing again. Well, this morning I hung behind the milkmaid for an hour and then the wind stopped. Repairs? Yes of course! I almost dare not say it. Ton got the autopilot working again twice yesterday. The magnets thundered out of the motor. But last night at 3 o'clock the animal stopped working. Exhausted, tired, overheated. The thing couldn't help it either. So steer by hand when we sail by motor. And like the devil was playing with it, the exhaust got a leak last night. 'Bros bros bros', do you remember that commercial with Adèle? There are no further comparisons. We molded everything around it to make it water and gastight, but we just didn't have the right tape (aluminium tape).
In any case, through joint creativity, the hose remains connected to a construction of aluminum plate, the fire blanket from the kitchen in strips, old bandage tape that does not melt and some aluminum foil. And because the particulate matter hangs around our beds, we will sleep in the guest room tonight! The forecastle. So staying out. Due to this annoying side effect, we land in the Azores for a short time.
But first enjoy the wind! As we speak I feel a rush in my face.
Regards,
Ton and Mark
