Daily report #101

Doldrum,

The place where many sailors have gone crazy. The place of heat, little wind, burning sun, flapping sails, banging gear and little progress that can help you sail out of this impasse. You become lethargic, lethargic, sweaty, sticky, you get a rash and general malaise.
We have created more shade and welcome every breath of wind to cool us in the cockpit. There is 6-8 knots of wind, we are sailing at 3-4 knots. It's not much, but the diesel range is around 750 miles (estimated) at a speed of 5 knots. We still need 760.
The engine will only start if we can easily make it.
Sit and wait.
Read.
Drink ice coffee.
Lie.
Siesta.
It will be fine.
We are still reasonably on schedule.
Every now and then there is 10 knots of wind. 5 knots speed! No delay.
The two largest winches have been serviced. They are running smoothly again.

We don't complain. The ship groans every now and then.
Greetings Ton and Mark
